Yes, it is safe to game or use the laptop while plugged in and HP actually encourages users to game while plugged in. It will not hurt the battery as there is circuitry built into the system to prevent the battery from overcharging. My rule of thumb is to simply unplug the charger if the laptop is not in use and fully charged.
Learn MoreI''d like to use the Power Supply Unit (PSU) instead of battery to control the BLDC motor through ESC with the below configurations: ESP8266 NodeMCU 1.0 PSU (Model S-60-12; AC Input: 220V; DC Input: 12V 5A) BLCD: 2212/1…
Learn MoreAnd barely changes the capacity of ~3.3Ah. And it will be much cleaner than a random power supply. You could use a nicer supply, and/or regulate whatever supply down with a linear regulator and proper filter caps, at a higher possible amperage. Running a PS above 80% max AND below 10% draw tends to cause gremlins.
Learn MoreI recently purchased a new docking station (Plugable ud-ultc4k) for use with my work laptop (Dell Precision 5760).The docking station is able to provide up to 100W of power, whereas my laptop can draw up to 130W of power.
Learn MoreThis is all performed using standard tools instead of proprietary software. Battery-based devices, in contrast, require an operator or technician to manually walk the floor, open each enclosure, and inspect every battery status. Functional Description of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPSs)
Learn MoreIf the old supply put out 8 V and 2.6 A and the equipment says it wants 8 V, then the obvious answer is a power supply that puts out 8 V and 2.6 or more amps. The equipment might be OK with 9 V, or not.
Learn MoreNow instead of using batteries and a power supply, depending on the amp draw, you will need beefy power cables. Much bigger than the ones used for the battery now. And the longer you want the cables, the bigger the wires you have to use because of losses.
Learn MoreHi,I have the *ASUS TUF F15 (2021)* I want to use this laptop while using the AC Power Adapter because it performs better than Battery mode (while using the battery)*So, is there a way to do that windows
Learn MoreThere are 2 types, regulated (use with a power supply) or automotive (accepts voltage between 6~32 VDC). Automotive is the type you want for using with a battery (since a 12v battery is almost 15v fully charged). There are also several power ratings, so you need to choose one a bit higher than you power consumption.
Learn MoreHi vkhatri, Welcome to the community, Ideally when you have the AC adapter connected system does not use the battery.Once the battery is 100% charged power supply to the battery is automatically cut off. However if you want to disable battery charging while the AC adapter is connected, you have a option in Battery Meter (in …

To safely use a car battery as a power source for lighting, you should use LED lights or other low-voltage lighting options. You can also use a DC-to-DC converter to step down the …
Learn MoreIn this case the battery needs to be replaced. There are some steps you can take to diagnose the battery. Defective charger. The fact that you said "Sometimes when you use it with the original adapter..." points to an intermittent problem. Your charger may not be able to supply the needed current to both charge the battery and power …
Learn MoreThe power leaving the battery must go somewhere so, as mentioned by user263983, you will likely need a heat sink, which as to be properly sized. Also you can use a power resistor as the load for the current sink, so the power is shared between the resistor and the power transistor, but be careful not to saturate the transistor or the opamp.
Learn MoreUPS probably wouldn''t provide hours of battery. You have lots of losses in the conversion process. You''re more or less taking the same battery as you''d put in the panel, except stepping it up to 120 volts, then back down to 16vac, then rectifying and filtering it to 12 volts.
Learn MoreThe short answer is yes, it could be dangerous - but probably only to the power supply, not your equipment. Lets say you have a 500mA load and you attempt to use the 250mA adapter, then you will either overheat the 250mA adapter, or in the worst case, the transformer core in the adapter will saturate, cause large pulses of current to be drawn …

Learn MoreA computer power supply, for example, usually supplies DC voltage in the range of 12V to 24V, while most rechargeable battery chargers provide DC current within 13.0 V to 15.0 V (some can go as high as 19.0VDC).
Learn MoreNow the computer will only use the Watt necessary for operastion. So you could even use a 200W power supply with your PC and the PC will still only use less than 65W. The problem is when you use a lower Wattage adapter on a computer which needs higher Wattage.
Learn MoreAlso, consider the reliability of your power supply. If the electrical service is unpredictable in the area where the touchless faucets are installed, you will not be able to use the faucets when the power is out. 3. Battery driven faucet. Battery-operated touchless faucet is a flexible option for different locations
Learn MoreThe safest approach would be to connect your DC adapter output to the battery terminals. The doorbell shouldn''t be able to tell the difference between the two. Since there are three 18650 cells I would use a 12V DC power supply, although the 8-24V AC range for the AC source suggests you could use an even lower DC voltage.
